Regeneration of Frogs and Tongues in Points by Welding

Components of points, e.g. frogs and tongues, are renewed by the arc welding method using coated electrodes, and/or applying the ESAB internal fluxed wire electrode technology.

We hold certificates issued by the Railway Transport Regulation Office for welding and renewal activities, and we meet the STN EN ISO 3834-2 product quality system conditions, based on the certification audit executed by CERTIWELD.

We use a special frame grinding machine and manual grinders to ensure correct grinding of built-up parts and the edges of rolling stock. Correct geometry is checked by means of spatial templates. Our qualification to provide these activities is based on certificates issued by the company DT – Slovenská výhybkáreň, a.s., authorizing us to grind running components of points, and also by Department 430 of ŽSR General Directorate, certifying for the grinding of running components of points.
